A little about Dr.Ariel eber

Dr. Eber is an enthusiastic and distinguished dermatologist, trained at Columbia University, and a Miami native. Initially, driven by her interest in bringing healthcare to underserved communities across the globe, she discovered her passion for dermatology and has since dedicated herself to helping patients achieve healthy and beautiful skin. She currently holds the position of Assistant Professor of Dermatology and serves as the Director of Translational Laser Research at the University of Miami.

Dr. Eber graduated from the University of Florida in 2013. In addition to her pre-medical courses, she pursued a minor in Arts in Medicine, with the aim of harnessing the transformative power of the arts for health. This ethos continues to influence her approach to dermatology today. Subsequently, she earned her medical degree (M.D.) from the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine in 2018, graduating with the highest honors and receiving a Research Distinction Award. She dedicated an additional year to dermatologic translational and clinical research. Her commitment to global health initiatives continued throughout her medical school years.

After completing medical school, Dr. Eber completed a post-doctoral intern year at Jackson Memorial Hospital. She then undertook a prestigious Dermatology Residency at Columbia University in New York City. During the peak of the COVID pandemic in New York City, she volunteered to leave her dermatologic duties to care for hospitalized patients and was recognized as Chief Resident for her exceptional dedication and service.

Following her residency, Dr. Eber pursued a Fellowship in Lasers and Cosmetic Dermatologic Surgery at SkinCare Physicians in Chestnut Hill, MA, one of the preeminent institutions in the field. Here, she learned alongside the nation's most accomplished dermatologic surgeons, cosmetic, and laser experts, while caring for patients and conducting research at one of the largest investigational centers of its kind. It was during this fellowship that Dr. Eber was able to best realize her passion for the Arts in Medicine, as no other field allows a physician to make such a social impact by helping patients look good, feel good, and consequently, do good.

Throughout her career, she has maintained her commitment to global health, traveling abroad to several countries, including Haiti and Rwanda. Notably, she was the first-ever visiting dermatology faculty at the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE).

With her impressive academic and professional credentials, Dr. Eber is dedicated to providing the highest quality dermatological care to her patients. Her passion involves bridging medical and aesthetic dermatology and increasing access to care. She looks forward to continuing to make a positive impact in the field of dermatology, both at home and worldwide.
